Pros and cons of Shardlands app for iPhone and iPad

Shardlands app good for

First, let me be clear. There is nothing about this game worthy of real complaining. It is beautifully visualized, has beautiful music, plays very well, and is very atmospheric. There is a bit of action with enemies, but it is mostly puzzle-solving. I couldnt give it five stars, though, because it really was just ok in terms of fun. Like I said, nothing was done wrong, it just wasnt something I really looked forward to playing. There is certainly enough content, but I just cant figure out what was missing. A story perhaps? One small issue, though, too, was that it was kinda hard to tell where you were going, as the stage is very large, but the screen is not. I think this game would actually be better suited for the PC so you could see more of the stage while you played and didnt have to keep moving the screen around (and retracing your steps) in order to understand better where you were going and where you had been.
Saw this game positively reviewed on "Reviews on the Run". Game did not disappoint. Something a little different with great graphics and interesting, though not very difficult, puzzle elements. Nice time waster and well worth a couple bucks.
What a great way to kill an afternoon. Great graphics, a sound track that doesnt get on the nerves and gameplay thats not overly hard. My only problem with this game is why did I have to find it totally by accident. This title should be up there in the all time best games section but its almost no where to be found. Go figure.
Very fun game, lots of levels, well at least so far. As an older PS and Xbox gamer, it still amazes me how much fun you can have for a couple of bucks! Get this game.
This game totally suits me. A great visual and audio atmosphere. Fun puzzles that challenge me without frustrating me. Relaxing and fun.
No question I enjoy this game very much. Challenging, engrossing, and it DOES NOT constantly ask for money in order to keep playing. My only negative comment: I had got to near the end of the game, and had a phone problem and had to restore my iPhone from a recent backup. I have severatl games in various stages of play and did not lose anything when I restored the phone. But in Shardlands I lost everything and am now restarting as if Id never played. Hope they fix this in a future update. Still love it - 5 Stars!

Some bad moments

I give this game 1/5 cause its boring!!! I give a 5/5 For the graphics...I can say this, I like playing if I was at Starbucks or laying in bed cause of the music and just relaxing game... Is it worth $2? Try it if its the right game for layer back users.. :)
I would have to agree with previous reviews. Great graphics, great gameplay. However this game is very boring and bland. In addition its a pricy game for what it actually does. I had high hopes for this game, sadly it will be out shined by other more exciting games I have on my iPhone and iPad. Save your hard earned tip jar money on something else. Unless you truly want a bland game to help you fall asleep to.
This is a fun looking game, but crashes before it starts on iPad 1 and iPod touch 3G. A real disappointment since it seems how long I waited for I to come out.
Great game, some puzzles toward the end require a lot of patience. Just like a game should be. Thank You
This is a puzzle game wearing an adventure robe and its great! Its better than just going from a flat puzzle screen to the next puzzle screen because you are more immersed in the world. They also mix in monsters, lasers and flame throwers! Many of the early puzzles are easy, but there are definitely more challenging ones as you go on. The company said they will add more puzzles with updates. Ive not had any problems with crashing. Im playing on an ipad2.
I just finished this game. I just want to say outstanding. Before I write this I have to say a few things about other reviews. First off. For those who say the game icon is ugly. Really? Your going to give a low review because of that? Second. Its boring and the music wants to put you to sleep? Give me a break. This is not a FPS. Its not Mario. Its not doom. Its supposed to be a challenging puzzle based game. I do not think that having heavy metal or other types of music would fit into the concept of this game. MAYBE ITS TOO HARD FOR SOME OF YOU. This is a great game and well worth the money. Im sure the developers put a lot of time and effort into this game and to have people rip it because of the icon is ludicrous. This is a beautiful, challenging, and thought provoking game. It really test you mentally. And its very addicting. Hats off to the folks who came up with one of the most original games I have seen on the store in a long long time. Im going to keep playing this for awhile. Its a top 5 game in my library. And it looks great on the iPhone 5 and iPad. Its a must for those who like a challenge. Thank You
